Maximizing potential through targeted career and education supports
Your support sustains important Future Link programs which impact the lives of young adults in Montgomery County. Through your generosity, we are able to administer a 15-week seminar on Self-Advocacy Skills and Career Development. Once our students complete this entry point to Future Link, they are ready to take full advantage of our mentoring, paid internships, education and career workshops, and more. Never wanting to see our students put their education on "pause" while they earn enough to pay for tuition, we offer limited scholarships to help them persist and stay on their pathway. Without your support, that pathway crumbles.
The needs are many and we at Future Link pride ourselves on being flexible yet diligent when providing resources to Future Link students. We are honored to be included in the Catalog for Philanthropy as one of the region's best nonprofits. We are also a GuideStar Exchange Gold Participant recognizing our commitment to transparency.
Examples of where donations are spent include:
$25 will fund two comprehensive Education and Career Planners used during our 15-week seminar.
$50 will purchase a SmartTrip card for a student to commute to college and/or an internship.
$100 will purchase a college textbook that helps ensure academic success.
$250 will be directed towards college tuition or certification programs.
$500 helps fund our paid internships since our students cannot afford to take advantage of unpaid opportunities.
$1000 helps pay for staff who work directly with our students, helping them identify a pathway and realize their potential.
